I bought new parts foe Artic Air Freezer: Defrost Thermostat, TIMER DEFROST,Fan Motor. It took me 30 minutes to change all parts. Now working like clock.
changed both thermostat an run capacitor. freezer has been running now for two weeks without any problems..
I looked at the other reviews and decided to buy both the defrost thermostat and the defrost timer. I told mom I would try to fix her freezer for mothers day. After cleaning up, I checked the defrost heater as was described by others and it had resistance. I the installed both the defrost thermostat and timer.I plugged in the freezer and after about 8 hours I had mom put some water on the top shelf. The next morning was Mothers day and the water was frozen. This site and the reviews really helped. They are both very happy.
Disconnect AC power and remove the dial gauge. Remove three racks to reach the back panel inside the freezer by removing split stoppers on one side. Remove all the hex screws and rubber insulation pads to expose the cooling unit. Remove the old thermostat from the cooling pipe and install the new unit. Make sure that the thermostat bracket fits tightly around the cooling pipe; otherwise, it cannot read the correct temperature. Reverse the procedure.
Followed instructions on your video. On defrost timer didn't have to use existing metal bracket just mounted timer directly to unit.
Simple plug and play, per the instructional video on this web site.
Very fast shipping, 10 minute installation, problem solved Defrost thermostat was definitely the problem, thanks to problem solver on this site. Thanks again!! I have fixed many appliance problems using your problem solver and videos.
The repair is pretty straight forward check video with this site . If your fan is working do not replace it, that was not the problem that was suggested. The thermostat sensor solved the problem.
