Refrigerator and freezer not cooling, evaporator fan not running.
I read some of the other accounts regarding this part, and the part about it fixing the problem 99% of the time, so I took the inner back panel out of the freezer. This exposed the evaporator coils and fan. The thermostat was clipped to the top of the coil, I removed the thermostat and harness, and cut off the thermostat. Then I cut out the thermostat, and soldered and heat shrinked the wires together, and it lit right up. Then I ordered the part on Sunday night, I got it on Tuesday afternoon, fast shipping, cheap fix. This refrigerator is at least 30 years old.
