Defrost Heater WP60106-35

This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This defrost heater is designed for use in refrigerators. The defrost heater is one of three components that helps to regulate the temperature of the evaporator coils. When frost begins to build up on the evaporator coils the defrost timer tells the heater it is time to warm the coils up, this helps melt the frost. Once the coils have reached a certain temperature the defrost thermostat signals to the heater it is time to shut off. This heater works in tandem with the compressor, the compressor runs during the cooling cycle and when that finished the defrost heater warms the evaporator coils back up. This replacement heater is made out of radiant glass, it is 20.5? long, and it is sold individually. This replacement part comes with installation instructions.
