Broken glass on oven light fixture
Original light fixture difficult to remove. I could not see or feel tabs holding fixture to chassis. In anger I finally used hammer and screwdriver to forcibly remove fixture, destroying it in the process. Happily, the new fixture snapped into the hole as advertised.

Socket broke when tried to remove a burn light bulb
Had to use a screw driver to lift up all the prongs that locked the socket in. Had to pull the range out remove the back and disconnect the wires. Had different size connectors so you would not get them crossed up when you reconnect the wires. Just had to line it up with the notch and push it in and it locked in place. Then reconnected the wires and put the back on.

replace socket lite
Had to reach into oven with screw driver and needle nose pliers and try to push in the flat holding clips and pull edge of socket out. Had to remove door for easier access to be able to get in closer to the socket. Wasn't easy to push in the clips though. But finally was able to get screw driver under clip and pull them out to release the socket..

Oven light not working
It looked like someone had tried to fix the problem before, because the socket had fallen or had been pushed back out of the frame work and was behind the oven wall. So we took the back panel off and got the socket back in place. However when we put a new light bulb in the socket, it still would not turn on. So we ordered a whole new socket assembly. It was fairly easy to install, but the light still does not work. So I guess the problem is with the push button on the top of the stove. That another job for another day. Guess we will keep using the flash light to check on our baked goods.
