Large front coils when put on high smokes. Nothing on it. Can I go to buy one from store or does it take a special coil

Old drip pans has rusted out. Simply replaced them.
Removed the surface element and replaced with the new one. If it had continued to overheat as the old one did, I would have had to call an electrician to repair. But so far, it seems to be working fine.
