Dual burner switch lites up for each burner but neither burner works. I assume the dual burner needs to be replaced. Is that correct? Thanks

element has low and high sections. One was burned out.
unscrewed glass top (2 screws under glass top in front). Raise glass top, mark the letters noting the bracket scew holes used on broken element. I marked the wires and the terminals. I marked the same holes on the new element with a marker. I removed the brackets, and moved the wires from the old element to the new element on at a time. I then placed the new element in, and secured the screws. It was finished in a matter of minutes.

Dual element on top of stove stopped working
Unplug appliance. Remove 2 philips screws under each corner of the stove top so you can lift it up. Lift the top and support it with a small board. Remove 2 nuts with 1/4" nut driver holding the element in place. Remove the wires one at a time from the old element and transfer them on the new element. I say one at a time so you don' t forget which wire goes where. Bolt the new element back in place and you are go to go. Should take no more than 10 minutes. Super easy. Plug the appliance back in.
