Wall oven would take a very long time to ignite.
One of the 2 screws that holds the igniter to the burner assembly was stripped and difficult to get out. Other than that it was an easy fix.

Igniter burned out.
My husband read the instructions and unplugged the electricity and turned off gas - removed door took bottom of oven out - removed the igniter-replaced it with the new part, plugged it into back of oven, pushed it in until it clicked, put everything back in as it came out. It took about 10 minutes. Worked great- oven working wonderful and my husband did a great job.

Oven wouldn't light
4 screws to remove, unplug wired connection, removed old ignitor, replaced with new one. No need for extra parts or wires that came with kit. Only difficulty was lighting, and positioning to get to screws that held ignitor in place, otherwise simpler then expected. Saved myself $150/$200 on service call. Thanks to this site and some YouTube searching.

My Magic Chef stove is 25 yrs. old, I thought I would have to purchase a new appliance. However, my boyfriend watched the video and followed the step by step instructions. Both stovetop and oven are working perfectly. Thanks, Liz

The flat igniter no longer heated up properly
First I watched a few videos (from this site and on YouTube). Then I took apart the oven as directed, measured the old igniter, ordered the new one. When it arrived after a week, I cut off the coupler, stripped the ends to have 3/8 in. showing, used the ceramic caps to wire the new igniter in place. Replaced the insulation provided, screwed everything back in place, connected the electricity and gas and was done. Because the oven is so old, it took a while longer than I expected to loosen the parts, but everything went back together fairly easily.
