After using the self-cleaning cycle of the oven, several spots on the oven bottom were bare, the enamel having burnt off.
1) Remove the oven door. This is done by releasing the latch hold downs on the hinges at the bottom of the door, raising the door to a 5 degree angle from vertical and then lifting the door off. 2) After removing the oven door, slide out the oven racks and remove the 2 screws in the back holding the oven bottom in place. Once removed, simply slide the new oven bottom in, insert and tighten the screws at the rear of the oven bottom, reinstall the oven door (starting at the 5 degree from vertical position), lower the door, re-close the latch hold-downs on the hinges at the bottom of the oven door, reinstalling the oven racks and closing the oven door.
