oven door will not close
The removal and replacement of the hinges is simple enough with the instructions provided. You do need a proper screw driver for the screws. The biggest warning though is the hinges themselves. The hinges are under extreme tension from the springs; so for first time DIY ers, be extremely careful and do not use your hands to unjam the hi nges if they become snagged in any way. I learned the hard way; an paid for my mistake with 4 stitches to my left thumb. I read every instruction there was, and watched every video and not once did I hear about or read about the possibility of the springs being under tension. This might be common knowledge for those who do similar repairs a lot. It is not though for in experienced people as myself and is only a warning for those in the same position I was in. Wear some kind of safety gloves , use eye protection, and use some kind of locking pliers to handle the hinges if they become difficult when removing from the oven, and or are jammed once the door is removed from the oven. An be just as careful putting the door back on . The hinges did fix the problem perfectly though, and shipping was not a problem .
