The removal of the defective part was rather easy.
After trying to connect the element to the clips coming from the inside wall of the oven. I removed the panel in the rear of the stove and realized that if I simply screwed the element in place, I could easily attach the element to the connectors in the back. Once I did this, the rest of the installation was easy. It took over 30 minutes to figure this out. I highly recommend that the installation states to remove the back panel thereby exposing how the connectors attach to the replaced element. This would have made the installation much less frustrating! It could easily have been accomplished in 30-45 minutes!
