Large surface burner switch inoperative.
Unplugged range. Removed 2 screws that secured top control panel to range. Removed 2 screws that held burner switch. Removed wire contacts one at a time and connected to new switch burner control. Secured burner control with 2 screws that were removed from the inoperative burner control. secured top panel to range top that were removed t o make repairs. Plugged range in and checked out all burners. All worked properly.

Large burner control not working
The amazing thing about it is it was a Hotpoint range and nobody else could find such a number. However, the individual helping me stuck with it by cross referencing the numbers and assured me she had the correct part. When I received it sure enough it was exactly the same. The trick is, with any electronic part always transfer one wire at a time from old to new. This process took less then five minutes. Larry

Burner Didn't Work & Terminal Block Needed To Be Replaced
Removed old parts and installed new parts. This website said to use a terminal block kit that cost $48, I searched the site and found one that looked the same and only cost $12. It installed like a direct replacement and works fine.
