Product Description

The surface elements provide heat for cooking on the top your range, typically in a smaller and larger size to fit your various pots and pans. If an element is not heating up, it is a sign that it should be replaced. This is an easy repair that does not require any tools. Before beginning this repair, ensure that the elements are turned off and cold to the touch. With the element removed, inspect the terminals for signs of corrosion or arcing. If these are present, you will need to replace the terminal block as well, or you will have the same issues come up again. This OEM replacement part measures 8 inches in diameter with five coils.

Surface elements and drip pans needed replacement.
Just remove plug-in elements and replace. Do not use generic universal parts from the big stores. These factory parts are excellent.

bake element went bad and I had purchased years ago replacement burners and pans that did not fit from a retailer
unscrewed the old element and screwed in the new one. It was extremely simple and easy.

Heating element was intermittently over heating and switch was sparking

Burner would wobble & not lock into the terminal block
The welds were broken on the old surface element so the new one just snapped in place securely with no wobble. Purchase the terminal block as well or you may find out that it is bad too & just replacing the surface element might not fix your problem. I did & I was glad because my terminal block was bad also.

One of my elements was missing a part
I had been waiting since May for Lowe's to get a new cooktop in, with delay after delay and one finally coming in that was damaged. Decided to fix my cooktop myself and ordered all new elements. Just plugged them in and they worked perfectly, just like getting a new cooktop. And when they say you get them fast, they MEAN it! Ordered t he parts on a Sunday and got them on Tuesday!
