Can I check the Temp. control probe with av ohm meter?
For model number FGEF3055MFE
Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps!

My oven will not heat up past 188° I’m trying to figure out which part might be the culprit
For model number Lgef3045kfh
Hello Nicole, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the temperature sensor, the bake element, the broil element, and the control board. You can test the elements and sensor with a multimeter, and if they test good for continuity, then the issue may be with the control board. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Oven was inconsistent on heat, typically way over-heating
Replacing the oven probe is very straightforward, I tested the old one with a multi-meter after pulling the range out (had to disconnect the gas line and unplug the range...the most difficult part of the repair, lol!) and determined it was bad; purchased the new one from this site. The probe is located in the back of the oven, easy to se
... Read moree once the rear shroud was taken off the range (6 screws), especially having the new one in hand and knowing what to look for. One screw held it in place, and there is a single plug to disconnect. Installation is the reverse of removal. Pushed the range back into place, reconnected the gas line and plugged it in. Repair was perfect. Saved a ton of money, for sure!
replaced oven probe did. Did not solve problem. Returned probe, ordered oven control. Replaced the control and fixed the problem. Biggest problem was that the new control did not come with the graphics sheet. Had to carefully remove from old control and install on new unit.
Oven Probe was not the problem, Had to Replace the OCU
After removing the back and testing the Oven Probe found that it was OK. replaced it anyway. Using a Volt- Ohm meter I found that the K-1 relay was bad (no 220 volts out of the OCU ordered a new one. Your Parts dept.were very helpful with the order. Had to use dental floss (slid it between the original OCU and the benzyl) to remove it.
