Product Description

This is an authentic OEM replacement part. This broil element is designed for use with ranges. It is found on the roof of your oven and provides the heat needed for the broil function. If the element in your oven will not glow/heat, if it is not heating evening, or if it is not getting hot enough then it might be time to replace your element. You will need pliers and a screwdriver to successfully complete this replacement. Before beginning this repair work make sure the appliance is unplugged.

Broiler element failed
Unplugged oven, removed the oven racks to access the broiler plate. Removed the screw holding the plate in place, undid the hooks holding the element up on the top of the oven and pulled the element connection out to access the clips that connect the electricity to the burner. Used pliers to gently separate the electrical connectors. Af ter making sure the element was right way up, connected the new element clips to the wires from the oven. Plugged the oven in and turned broiler on to check in worked. Waited for it to cool down and then screwed to plate back into place. Hung the broiler from the oven hooks.
