Buttons that stop working may point to a worn range hood switch. Before replacing it, check for lost power, a burned-out bulb, loose wiring, or a failed fan motor. Match the new switch to the complete hood model number. Shut off the circuit breaker and make sure the hood has no power. Remove the grease filters and inner cover as directed in the service guide. Mark each wire before disconnecting it. Attach every wire securely, replace all ties and covers, and reinstall the filters before turning the power back on.
