This is an authentic OEM part that has been sourced directly from Alpha. This ball bearing is commonly used in tile saws and angle grinders. Ball bearings are found on the armature of the motor in your power tools, they are what allow parts within your tools and motors to spin or rotate smoothly. Ball bearings are used to reduce friction between rotating parts, which is why they are commonly used in power tools. Due to the friction and heat inside power tools ball bearing will wear down over time and need to be replaced. Signs the ball bearing in your tool need to be replaced are excessive heat coming from bearing locations, your power tool will start to make unusual sounds, and you will notice the spindle/armature not moving as freely as it once was. There metal shields on either side of the bearing; this will stop dirt and debris from getting into the bearing during operation. This bearing is made of metal, and is sold individually. Before replacing the ball bearing in your power tool make sure you disconnect the power.
