This is a single authentic switch activator button. Miter saws have a lockout mechanism on the switch, which stops the tool from being turned on by accident. The lockout is released by pushing on the switch button. The switch button can sometimes break or get lost and will need to be replaced. This is a very easy repair that does not require any tools. The switch button is secured with a plastic locking tab and can be removed by pulling it from the housing. To install the new switch activator button, position it in the housing and press it down until you hear a click.

This is a trigger switch, which controls the on and off and variable speed functions of the power tool. This trigger has four terminals, which will damage and wear with use. If your equipment is not starting when using the switch or if the variable speed or electric braking are not functioning, these are all common symptoms of a malfunctioning trigger switch. This part is genuinely sourced direct from the manufacturer and is sold individually.

Genuine OEM Replacement Part used on some Makita Saws. This part is Sold Individually. A switch handles the on/off and variable speed functions. They also have a role in electric breaking; they can momentarily reverse electrical polarity. Because switches use mechanical internals, they will degrade and wear out over time, eventually requiring replacement.

This Trigger switch has 2 terminals. This genuine DeWalt replacement part is sold individually. Switches are commonly replaced parts in tools. A switch handles on/off and variable speed operations. They also have a role in electric breaking; they can momentarily reverse electrical polarity. Because switches use mechanical internals, they will degrade and wear out over time, eventually needing replacement. Some common signs of a broken or failing switch are as follows: The tool has completely stopped functioning – it will not start. The tool operates intermittently, requiring multiple tries to turn on, until eventually it won’t start at all. The variable speed function and electric braking aren’t working properly.

This is an authentic Milwaukee replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with abrasive cut-off machines. Switches can wear out over time and a common symptom of a worn switch is trouble starting then running fine once the saw gets going. This switch is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.
