Carbon brushes are a commonly replaced item on power tools. Carbon brushes through friction and use will gradually wear away and will eventually require replacement. It is recommended to replace both brushes at the same time. You would need a screwdriver and pliers to complete this job. • First remove screws holding the cover together • Remove the housing to gain access to armature and brush holder • Remove the old brush • Install the new brush • Reassemble and test your tool
