This authentic replacement part is designed for use with DeWALT angle grinders. Bearings are used to reduce friction between rotating parts. The balls or rollers take the load and spin, distributing the weight evenly while the minimal contact area of the ball reduces friction. Bearings experience constant wear from pressure, heat, vibration, and friction eventually requiring replacements. This high-quality component is made of durable metal and is sold individually. A wrench set will be needed to perform this repair. Make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams for your model to ensure the proper replacement procedure.

This is an authentic OEM replacement part for certain models of DeWalt Grinders that has been sourced directly from DeWalt. To ensure that this will fit your grinder, please see the "Model Cross Reference List" below. The Ball Bearing fits between the bearing cup and the slinger, and its primary purpose is to reduce friction to allow the device to operate smoothly. Ball Bearings experience constant wear from the pressure, heat, vibration, and friction of the grinder, and may need to be replaced periodically as a result. Signs of broken or failing Ball Bearings include squealing, screeching, or grinding noise when powering the device off. This part has a diameter of approximately 3/4", made of metal, and is sold individually.

This is a 605RS ball bearing commonly used in hand-held tools like grinders. It is located within the rotor assembly of the grinder, facilitating smoother rotation and reducing friction between the rotor and its housing. Without this ball bearing, the rotor would rub against its housing, leading to premature grinder wear and decreased efficiency. Signs that this ball bearing needs replacement include excessive noise, vibrations, heat, and difficulty in rotation during operation. To prevent further damage to your grinder or other internal components, it is crucial to replace the bearing when any of these signs appear. Replacing this ball bearing will require grease and various screwdrivers. Start by disconnecting the battery and removing the side handle. Next, unscrew and disconnect the screws securing the main grinder housing to access the interior. Carefully remove the rotor. Extract the old bearing by first removing its retaining ring and then using a punch if necessary. Apply grease to the new bearing and insert it into the housing. Reinstall the rotor along with its securing screws, and then reassemble the grinder housing, including the side handle.
