This locking switch is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. It is a commonly used item on Ridgid power tools. It plays a vital role by controlling the on/off operations. Over time the mechanical parts will begin to wear out compromising tools functionality. Usually if the tool randomly stops or has problems starting, replacing on/off switch may resolve the issue. This switch has a plastic body and it is sold individually. Please note, the key is sold separately. Replacing this switch is a simple task that should only require a screwdriver • Remove screws the switch box • Remove old switch by pressing the side tabs • Secure the new switch • Reattach the switch box
