This is a genuine Ridgid replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with plastic/PVC pipe cutters. The latch assembly fits inside the handle assembly. The latch is used to actuate the blade to move it into the jaws when the handle is pressed. This item will require a screwdriver to install.
