This is a genuine Hitachi replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with pneumatic nailers. The metal spring is part of the magazine assembly. This item is used to pull the nail pusher towards the nose to slide nails to the top of the magazine. The ribbon spring is sold as an individual replacement part.
