This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced replacement bumper, it is specially designed for use with DeWALT nailers. The purpose of this piston bumper is to keep the piston from hitting the bottom of the cylinder and damaging it. Because this part gets so much abuse it has a tendency to crack and fall apart eventually requiring a replacement. Keep in mind this item is made of high-quality plastic material and is sold individually.
