It is the part of the tool that allows user to turn the tool on and off while controlling its speed. Over time mechanical plastic switches over time will wear out and fail eventually requiring replacement. Please note, this plastic item is sold individually. To replace this switch you will need a screwdriver.

Didn’t come with any
Is supposed to be an exact replacement but as mentioned earlier it didn’t come with any instructions. The replacement switch didn’t have any wires attached to it so i had to go online and watch video. Once I followed instructions on connecting wires only intermittently worked. Checked on return and was told can’t return electrical part s and by the time you add part and shipping both ways it was cheaper to go out and by a new one
