This is an original manufacturer sourced replacement part used on Ridgid compound miter saws. The lower fence attaches to saw's base and is aligned with the blade for accuracy. The fence can become bent (or even cracked) if something hits it or if there is a major kickback while cutting. The damaged fence will result in inaccurate cuts and will need to be replaced. Refer to the owner's manual for the correct application and replacement procedure. Note, this high-quality fence is made of durable metal and is sold individually.
