This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Hitachi miter saws. The dust guide assembly is used to guide sawdust into the dust collector bag to reduce the amount of sawdust in the work area. This dust guide assembly includes the bevel angle scale and is sold as an individual replacement part.
