Microwave internal light bulb failed
1. Removed cabinet facing by removing 4 screws 2. remove lower cabinet cover by removing 5 screws. 3. removed entire microwave and base from cabinet (requires two people); be sure to disconnect the power cord from outlet. 4. Remove 4 screws and take microwave off of base. 5. Removed microwave cover by removing 5 screws on back of cover at taching cover to the microwave unit. 6. Remove cover by pulling gently. 7. remove the power wire from the bulb base. 8. Locate bulb and remove the holder. Be careful not to break any wires. 9. Gently bend the retaining tabs back from the bulb base and remove the defective bulb. 10. insert new bulb and push tabs back in place, Remember to plug in the wires to the bulb base. 11. Reinstall bulb base unit back to the microwave unit. check to see if the bulb is working properly by plugging the unit into a power outlet and opening the microwave door. the light should come of. If not trouble-shoot the problem. 12. Carefully put the microwave cover back on ensuring the front of the unit is correctly seated around the front fascia. 13. Replace 5 screws securing the cover to the microwave. 14. Reattach the microwave base to the bottom of the microwave with 4 screws and place the unit back in the cabinet. Remember to plug the microwave back into the power plug. 15. Replace the lower microwave cabinet covering using 5 screws. 16. replace the microwave cabinet cover using 4 screws. Total time to repair is approximately 1 hour and requires two people to remove the microwave from the cabinet and to replace the microwave back into the cabinet.
