The turntable would not turn
Before I began, I unplugged the power cord. I removed the panel underneath the microwave using a philips screwdriver to gain access to the ac synchronous motor. I removed two screws and the plug to the motor. I then rotated the motor and removed it. I installed the new motor from Part Select, replaced the screws and plugged the cord back in. I replaced the panel and plugged the power cord back. The turntable now turns and the microwave works fine.
