Microwave would not heat. Hummed louder than normal. Convection oven still worked.
Removed the cover. Located the diode on the lower back right corner attached to the capacitor. Discharged the capacitor using a voltmeter and then removed the diode by removing the screw attaching it to the case and pulling it out with needle nose pliers. Reversed the procedure with the new diode and put the cover back on. Plugged the microwave back in and tested that it was working fine by boiling a bowl of water.

Microwave runs but will not heat food
Unplug for 24hrs. Remove top vent cover. Remove control panel. Unplug connectors and set aside. Note of terminal where diode is plugged into the High voltage capacitor. Pull diode connector out of the capacitor. Unscrew other end of diode from the frame. Install new diode and assemble in reverse order. Plug in and wait 1hr for capacitor to charge. Test oven by heating a cup of water.
