It often incorporates the unit’s touchpad or dial controls, enabling smooth user interaction, and is typically replaced when a microwave won’t power on, cooks inconsistently, or has unresponsive buttons or dials. By distributing electrical power to key components and coordinating the appliance’s programmed functions, it restores reliable performance when the original board fails. Installation generally involves disconnecting power, accessing the control area, removing the faulty board, transferring each connector to the matching position on the new board, and securing it in place before reassembling the front panel.
