This authentic Coleman ventilator is used with their Northstar line of propane lanterns. The ventilator fits onto a screw that is comes off the top of the burner assembly. This enameled metal top piece, the "hat" of the lantern, allows for airflow into the mantle area while also blocking any heat or light from escaping upwards. It has two pre-drilled hole on each side for the Bail Handle (part # 2500A1381) to hook into. This piece is sold individually. Tools are not necessary for this repair, although the old Ventilator Nut (part # 2500a4411) may be stuck due to age or corrosion.
