oes need to be removed prior to separation, and also there are a few Ryobi factory stickers that will need to be sliced down the middle of them to allow the cases to separate. Once the case is removed, you will see the motor with the impeller attached. The motor can be slid out of its housing far enough to be able to remove the impeller. To remove the impeller, use an adjustable wrench of the end opposite the impeller, there are flat areas on the impeller shaft where an adjustable wrench can be tightened onto to hold it steady. With the adjustable wrench in place, the impeller can easily be removed by unscrewing it from the thread end of the shaft. Be careful because my impeller threads were reverse threaded to allow for the impeller to stay tight. I recommend using permanent strength thread lock on the threads of the shaft prior to tightening it down onto the motor shaft. Pay close attention to install the impeller in the same direction as the old one was removed. After this step, reassemble in reverse order.
