Is this part used to anchor the cable on front wheel assist so that it can move to engage fwa. I am not sure anchor for cable is on plastic belt cover Thank you.

The drive cable anchors directly to the plastic belt cover or a bracket on the transmission to engage the front wheels. The cable is anchored to the transmission bracket, part number FIX8845309.
