This is an OEM replacement part for use in rear engine riders made by Snapper and Simplicity. The lube fitting attaches to the front-axle assembly. During the installation process, a wrench might be needed to replace this item. It is made of metal and will require replacing if it breaks. This is available as an individual replacement part.
