Install mulching plug to a P1109VNM 16" push 18 volt Ryobi mower.
Be sure the battery is NOT installed. Lift the spring-loaded discharge door on the mower, grasp the mulching plug with the mulching plug handle pointing up and insert into the discharge port. There are a couple of alignment tabs at the bottom back of the plug that mate with small openings at the bottom of the discharge port. Press in firm ly, it should have a satisfying fit. Drop the spring-loaded discharge door and it should close completely. You are ready to install a battery and start mowing with the grass clippings falling back onto your yard.
