This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and is used to attach the mower blade to the motor shaft of Craftsman lawnmowers. The blade adapter is made of metal and is sold as a separate part. It is recommended to disconnect the spark plug wire before replacing the part and also wear protective gloves.

I have a very old Briggs motor with short 7/8 diameter shaft. Will this adapter work?
