This is a single replacement safety key for your lawn mower. The safety keep is in a slot that sits underneath the bail switch in between the side rails. To prevent unintentional start-up or unauthorized use of your mower, a detachable safety key has been integrated into the design of your equipment. Without the safety key in place, the mower will not start or will stop once removed. When starting your mower, attach the battery pack to the mower, close the battery cover, insert the safety key into the slot and push it in. With the safety key depressed, pull the bail switch up to the handle and release the safety key. This should start the mower. If the key is missing or damaged, it will need to be replaced immediately. This OEM key is sourced right from EGO, guaranteeing it will be compatible with your equipment.
