Begin the repair by disconnecting the battery for your safety. Take a note/picture of how the wire connectors are routed before disconnecting them. Remove the bolts that secure the solenoid in place and pull the faulty part out. Position the new solenoid in its place and secure it with the mounting bolts. Use your notes to reconnect the wiring and battery.
