Latch Kit Assembly 14-47-0145

A bent, broken, or missing hook latch can let loose rigging leave the hook when the line goes slack. This spring-loaded latch closes the hook opening but does not carry the load or make poor rigging safe. Before replacing it, inspect the hook for cracks, twisting, wear, or a widened opening. Confirm fit with the complete hoist model and rated hook. Remove the hoist from service, lower every load, disconnect and lock out power, and have a trained person install the kit. Test the latch and complete the required hoist inspection before lifting again.
