Robust & dependable thermostat
Replaced an older model 3710's thermostat. This one is better. It seems more sensitive to truly shut off heating when the temp setting is reached (all settings 600W, 900W & 1500W). Also seems better built than original.
I will comment that 1. the connection electrical spades were in a different configuration than the orig. and it took me a while to test both with an ohm meter to figure out which should be the 'white' and which the 'black' connection. I used an ohm meter between the two when the points open on each to determine how to connect. 2. Once attached the temp setting dial scale was off compared to my original cover plate setting marks. The new Zero on the dial is at about 8 on the higher heat side of the scale and the snowflake symbol or the 1 is actually moderate heat. I can adjust to that and do not begrudge this anomaly at all because it works wonderfully on an old old heater.
