This is an authentic manufacturer-supplied component which is specially made for use with DeWALT and Black and Decker rotary hammers. The purpose of a brush is to conduct the current in an electric motor that powers the tool. Unfortunately, over time the material will wear out causing the loss of conductivity and will eventually require a replacement. Please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct installation of the new component. Keep in mind this high-quality brush and spring assembly is sold individually. Note, it is advised to replace both carbon brushes at the same time to ensure an even wear.
