Push the release button on the left side. Remove Upper and Lower plate.
Line notches up with holders on the grill.
Snap in place.

WORKS GREAT UNTIL TEFLON FLAKES OFF
These grill plates work great for 2 years or more of fairly regular use and cleaning in a dishwasher. The problem is that after a couple of years or more of use the teflon coating starts to peel off. When I see that I immediately order replacement grill plates because I do not want teflon getting into me! Otherwise, this is a fantastic product. Just don't expect them to last forever and inspect them regularly to see if any teflon is flaking off the edges.
