Holder Assy., Brush, W/instr 0663860SRV

Burned terminals, short brushes, or heavy sparking may mean the brush holder assembly needs replacement. The built-in springs keep steady pressure on the brushes during generator operation. First check brush length, spring movement, slip-ring wear, wiring, and rotor resistance. Match the assembly to the full model and production range because older and newer generators may use different designs. Remove the unit from service, prevent an automatic start, and follow the makers full shutdown steps. Do not touch electrical parts or run the generator with its covers removed. Have the repaired output tested before normal use.
