This genuine OEM fuel tank, also known as the gas tank, in your generator serves as the primary storage for the fuel that powers the engine to produce electricity. Typically positioned on the top of the frame assembly, this gas tank measures 22 inches in length and 18.5 inches in width, with mounting holes positioned 16 inches apart at the center and 3 inches apart from each end of the tank. To determine if the fuel tank needs replacement, inspect it for damage, corrosion, rust, or any signs of leaks. To replace the tank, start by removing the securing screws and disconnecting the gas line. Drain the remaining gas into a container. Remove the gas valve from the old tank and take out the tank. Install the new gas valve onto the new tank and securely place the new tank. After reconnecting the gas line and filling the tank with gas, conduct a thorough check to ensure there are no signs of leaks.
