Pilot Valve 22-0270

A piloted unloader check valve helps a compressor run continuously without forcing the pump to compress air after the tank reaches its set pressure. It vents pump-side air through the discharge outlet and blocks tank air from returning toward the pump. Hissing at the wrong time, slow pressure buildup, pressure that climbs too high, or hard starting may point to a valve or control problem. Check for damaged tubing, loose fittings, a blocked muffler, and an accurate gauge first. Use only a replacement with matching ports and pressure settings. Release all stored air, lock out the power source, and have a qualified technician set or adjust operating pressure.
