The job of the air filter is to prevent dirt and debris from making its way to the engine and clogging the carburetor or causing damage to the cylinder piston. There is one air filter included in this package, however, if your equipment gets a lot of use, it might be wise to have an extra on hand. If the filter is not regularly replaced and inspected according to your equipment maintenance schedule, it will get clogged and this can lead to poor engine performance and more serious repairs. Changing the air filter is very simple. Start by removing the air filter cover, pull the old air filter out by hand, and place the new one onto the base, making sure it seals all the way around.
