How do I get to this part to remove it? It looks like it might be mounted from the bottom of the part which is underneath the washer top. How do I remove the top to get to it?
For model number WT1201CV
Hello Steve, Thank you for your inquiry. The hinge should pull upward after the lid has been removed and back panel. To remove the lid, you would unthread the screws holding the front panel assembly on, then remove it, and use a putty knife underneath the edge of the top cover to release the retaining clips securing it. On the bottom of the lid near the hinge will be covers that once taken out, the hinge rods would be exposed and can be removed. This will allow the lid to lift up away from the hinges. The back panel will have two screws securing it that once removed, will allow the panel to slide to the back of the unit and then lift away. Good luck with your repair.
