Temperature Control Thermostat

I unplugged the refrigerator from the wall outlet. Cleared-off and removed the top shelf and dairy drawer. Used a nut driver to remove one fastener holding cover in place. Lowered cover to expose thermostat. Unscrewed thermostat from cover and traced capillary tube back to rear of unit to extract bulb from Styrofoam housing in the rear of ... Read more unit. The bulb and capillary were easy to remove by pulling the bulb straight-out from the housing and slipping the capillary/bulb through retaining clips on ceiling of refrigerator compartment. Removed the plastic tubing cover from the capillary. Carefully straightened out the coiled capillary on the new thermostat and slipped plastic tubing cover onto new capillary. Placed as it was before on the old thermostat. Routed the new capillary through the retaining clips and carefully formed a large radius right hand bend in capillary so that the bulb could be slid back into the Styrofoam housing in rear of unit. Disconnected wiring from old thermostat one at a time and sequentially reconnected wiring onto new thermostat. Re-installed new thermostat into plastic cover and re-installed cover onto ceiling of refrigerator compartment. Plugged unit in to wall outlet. Replaced top shelf and dairy drawer. Refrigerator works perfect.
