Product Description

This white refrigerator door handle is a genuine OEM replacement designed for use on both the freezer and fresh food doors of select models. Constructed for durability and a secure fit, this handle restores functionality and appearance to your appliance. Installation is straightforward and requires only a Phillips screwdriver. To replace, remove the two screws from the top of the door, slide out the old handle, attach the mounting block to the new handle, and secure it in place. The original freezer handle 530-450-6469 had a sharp corner that could hurt one’s head upon coming up when reaching for a lower shelf in the refrigerator. I replaced it with door handle 218428101 which has a tapered end.
To take out the old handle, you simply take out the screws from the bottom and then you rotate the handle counterclockwise, and it released the top part of the handle from that screw hook. To put on the new handle I just did the reverse but since my new handle was not the official handle for the fridge, it did not fit the old screw holes but it did coincide with other screw holes that were plugged. I did not yet drill the screws into the new plugged area but just put on duct tape and it seems to be holding just fine. If I cared about the aesthetics, I would just drill the holes into the plugged screw holes.

old handle had broken at the bottom flange
slid old handle up to disengage from upper screw and installed new handle on existing upper screw and installed 2 screws in bottom flange on upper door. 5 minutes tops

refrigerator door handle was broken
I used a phillips screw driver and removed the two screws and replaced the handle and replaced the two screws.

tripped in kitchen and hit the door handle and broke it away from the screw.

Handle broke on fridge door
- remove two top screws completely, make sure lower screw is turned all the way in to it's shoulder, slide the lower part of the handle over the lower screw with the top at the 6-oclck position, rotate the handle clockwise until the top screw holes line up, install the top screws.
