two slotted screws holding burner switch to cover. With old switch as a guide, relocated electrical connectors (one by one) to new switch. Placed old rubber insulator on new switch and installed it back as insulator for burner cover plate with the two slotted screws, being careful to not prematurely break new stem off. CAUTION: Instructions supplied with new parts mention placing switch in the "UP" position. Look at picture provided with supplied instructions very carefully to ensure proper mounting. Once switch is placed in position and screws tightened. Select the appropriate length of stem by comparing it's length with the other three burner control switches. While holding link just below desired length with pliers, break the extra length off with a second pair of pliers. Select appropriate plastic/nylon bushing you have selected and slip it onto the stem, mindful of where the slotted side fits with the control knob. Replace four tie down screws to cover plate to secure it all. Lower the outside cover of cooktop. Be certain all burners are secure and pushed into their sockets. Clean up and throw breaker switch back on. Takes much less time than it did to write these instructions.
